I can't believe that I found you, fate did a number on me. If you end up with my arms around you, it's meant to be. Well, maybe my crazy is showing, but baby I'm hooked on your touch. But wherever my life is going, there ain't no rush. 'Cause wherever you're goin', I'd like to go too, if you don't have anything better to do. I'd love to spend some more time together, so what are you doin' between now and forever? I'll take the blue with the gray days, I just pray the road will be long, 'cause if I'm beside you there's no way I can go wrong. - Bryan White

The Stitches (Warning: Some of these pictures may gross you out.)

Disclaimer: Wesley is asleep in all of the following pictures. He didn't wake up until the second stitch and then obviously we stopped taking pictures of him. Also, he is fine now. He's a trooper.

Sunday afternoon Wesley was sitting on his knees on a kitchen stool and lost his balance and slipped off, smacking his head on the counter on the way down. Luckily, Jenny, Chris and Morgan were all over at the Falslev's house for Sunday dinner as well and they sprang into action. Wes was immediately cleaned up and assessed. We headed home with him after he calmed down and he fell asleep on the way. Chris gathered up supplies and met us at our house to stitch
up the cut. 4 stitches later, Wesley promises to be more careful. =)

Waiting for Chris and Morgan.

The gash (not so bad, right?)

Prep

Irrigating

Lidocaine to numb it (we're not monsters.)

Stitching him up

Yuck.

Wesley this morning, feeling fine. (With a cute balloon my Mom brought him.)

Kinda scary for Wesley, but it wasn't a big deal and I'm sure it won't be the last stitches my boys will have to get. We are lucky to have such great family. Thanks again, Chris, Morgan and Jen!

Wesley Update

In case you were wondering what Wesley is up to - here is a taste of his personality.

All of a sudden he's a kid and not a toddler anymore. We sure do love him!

4 Month Joel

My big, little guy. At his 4-month appointment he weighed in at 19 pounds and was 25.4 inches long. That puts him in the 99th and 70th percentiles, respectively. Healthy, sweet and a joy to have in our family!

Chubby legs!

His surprised look.

He likes to chew his fingers.

Pictures from April

These are from Stef's visit in April - about a week after Joel was born.
Thanks again, we love them!
