Disclaimer: Wesley is asleep in all of the following pictures. He didn't wake up until the second stitch and then obviously we stopped taking pictures of him. Also, he is fine now. He's a trooper.
Sunday afternoon Wesley was sitting on his knees on a kitchen stool and lost his balance and slipped off, smacking his head on the counter on the way down. Luckily, Jenny, Chris and Morgan were all over at the Falslev's house for Sunday dinner as well and they sprang into action. Wes was immediately cleaned up and assessed. We headed home with him after he calmed down and he fell asleep on the way. Chris gathered up supplies and met us at our house to stitch up the cut. 4 stitches later, Wesley promises to be more careful. =)
Waiting for Chris and Morgan.
The gash (not so bad, right?)
Prep
Irrigating
Lidocaine to numb it (we're not monsters.)
Stitching him up
Yuck.
Wesley this morning, feeling fine. (With a cute balloon my Mom brought him.)
Kinda scary for Wesley, but it wasn't a big deal and I'm sure it won't be the last stitches my boys will have to get. We are lucky to have such great family. Thanks again, Chris, Morgan and Jen!
