I can't believe that I found you, fate did a number on me. If you end up with my arms around you, it's meant to be. Well, maybe my crazy is showing, but baby I'm hooked on your touch. But wherever my life is going, there ain't no rush. 'Cause wherever you're goin', I'd like to go too, if you don't have anything better to do. I'd love to spend some more time together, so what are you doin' between now and forever? I'll take the blue with the gray days, I just pray the road will be long, 'cause if I'm beside you there's no way I can go wrong. - Bryan White

Half Birthday!

Today is Clayton's 6 month birthday - and it is also Leap Day, as most of you know. That means that poor little Clay will only have a half-birthday every 4 years. So, here's some pics of his life until now that I haven't posted before.

Okay, now here's a picture from Sunday of Clay, Haylie (2 and a half almost) and Ty (5 days old). (This is all the Falslev grandkids). Jer's got more angles of this pic on his phone - I'll post them whenever he sends them to me.

And, finally, here are his birthday pictures from today. Six months old - so big and handsome! Nasdaq can't seem to leave him alone, but Clay seems to really like him. :-)
HAPPY HALF-BIRTHDAY CLAYTON JEREMIAH!!!

HE DID IT!

So, this morning when Jer got up to check on Clay because he'd started to fuss (around 4:30am this morning) he called for me to hurry and come into Clay's room. Clay was laying on his back looking up at us! He sleeps on his belly so he had flipped himself over. His first roll-over and we missed it, the little stinker. He was at a weird angle - lying kind of diagonally in the crib with his head against a side bumper. Cute lil guy. Hooray for rolling!

Okay, here's some pictures of him sitting that Crissy took. I love, love the one with Daq!

Various Things

Okay, here's the scoop.

1) Mom and Ryan both started blogs yesterday (with Cristin's help and persuasion.) =-) So I added their links to my list - check 'em out.

2) Cristin says I post too much about Clay. So, here is another video of him. Hehehe. Come on, you know ya'll love it. Jer was playing with him with his burp rag making him giggle. (This was made a few days ago.. I think Sunday or Monday night.) It was better before I got the camera going, of course. He started to get real sleepy as I filmed. Hey, this whole post wasn't about Clayton, okay?!!

3) The boys of AI were much better last night. I have to say that I particularly loved David Hernandez and David Archuleta. I will, of course, post more extensively about this after Thursday's show.

4) I'm very glad Lindsey is back to posting comments about my blog. And, yes, I also think Jer's comments are funny; ie: "tasty fingers". I wasn't there when he made that video on the couch - it was just Jer and my Mom.

5) Jo said she would call me back yesterday and never did. She's a bundinha. (She knows what it means.) :-)

Okay, so peace out for today.

Clay on Couch

These pictures are from a couple weeks ago. I just got them off of Jer's phone.
He was just chillin' on the couch. There's a video that goes with them that I will post next.

AMERICAN IDOL

Now, I know everyone cares what I think about AI (because I'm always right about who will make it to the top) so I will recap my thoughts after each kick-off. You are welcome.

Week One:

Garrett Haley and Colton Berry were the two boys voted off this week. Now, I didn't think either of them would make the top 6 boys, but I didn't think it was Colton's time to go. He did a pretty good version of "Suspicious Minds" (not nearly good as Chris Daughtry's version in Season 5, though!). He probably didn't get the votes he needed because of his lack of air-time up till now in the season. Garrett, however, was blah and I didn't care that he left so soon. The two that sucked it up big time this week and deserved to get the boot first were Jason Yeager and Luke Menard. Total suckage. Frankly, I can't even remember what they sang, just that they were both slow songs and incredibly dull performances that didn't sound that great, either. Hopefully they either A: Do better this week; or B: Get kicked off this week. Also Chikezie could have gone this week without hurting my feelings - he wasn't very good, his suit was ugly, and no one likes it when you back-talk Simon. Come on. (Oh, and how pompous is it to drop your last name? Who does he think he is, Madonna? Cher? Please.)

The girls that were voted off this week totally deserved it. I agreed with the two that were removed from the competition. Amy Davis was the first off and boy did she ever deserve it. How terrible was her rendition of "Where the Boys Are"? She was off from the first note to the last. Yuck! My other choices for the second girl vote-off were Kristy Lee Cook - who sang a lack-luster version of "Rescue Me" and Joanne Borgella who sang "I Say a Little Prayer". Joanne was the one who was voted off even though her performance was slightly better than Kristy's. Meh.

So, to cap it up; after the first week's performances my top six boys would be as follows:

David Cook
David Archuleta
David Hernandez (3 Davids, just to be uber-confusing.)
Robbie Carrico
Michael Johns
Jason Castro or Danny Noriega (I haven't decided yet, let's see what this week brings.)

Top six gals:

Alaina Whitaker
Asia'h Epperson
Brooke White
Ramiele Malubay
Syesha Mercado
Kady Malloy, Carly Smithson or Amanda Overmyer (Again, I need another week to feel this one out. There has been a lot of hype about Carly, but she was sick last week and didn't sound so awesome. Also, she pulls weird faces when she sings which is kind of annoying. Amanda is the rocker, so she will probably have a following and Kady has a nice voice, but picked a bad song last week, unfortunately. They should always go with a more up-tempo song the first week, duh!)

So, those are my predictions as of now. We'll see how I do after this week and I will post again with my thoughts and further predictions. Again, you are very welcome. :-)

Misc. Stuff

On Thursday the 21st at around 7:15am there was a 6.0 earthquake in Wells, NV which is west of us here in Logan. I was actually still lying in bed because Clay hadn't gotten up yet and Jer had left for work at 6:30am or so. I was in and out of sleep when I thought I felt someone rocking my bed. I looked around for Jer and then brushed it off as my imagination. I hardly even remembered that it happened until Cristin told me about the quake. So weird. We're glad nobody was seriously hurt.

Here are some pics of Ty from our visit to the hospital. In the one on the right Jer had been tickling his nose to make him scrunch up his face like that. Cute.

Something Disappointing:

STYX is coming to the Logan City Fairgrounds for the annual Cruise-In. Yes, that's right - STYX - the same ones that sing "Come Sail Away". Here is the disappointing part: we won't be here!! They perform on July 4th and that's when we'll be in San Fransisco - bummer! San Fran will be awesome - I've never been - but now it will be a touch bittersweet.... :-)

Baby Days

So, everyone is starting to have their babies! Jer's aunt Alicia had baby Braden John on Valentine's Day morning. He weighed in at 8 lbs 5 ozs. Next, Cristin's sister-in-law Mandy had her baby Caleb Benjamin on the 18th. He tipped the scales at 9 lbs 5 ozs. Then this morning Jer's brother Ben and his wife Tracey had their little Ty Benjamin. He was a teeny 7 lbs 2 ozs! I'm going to see him later today, but here is a phone pic that Tracey sent me already.

And here is a picture of Cristin's nephew Caleb:

I don't have a picture of Braden yet, but I'll add one as soon as I get it.

So, now I am waiting on my friend's babies: Hallie is next, she's due on February 29th. Then comes Lindsey's sister Lauren who is due March 3rd. And then my friend Laurel who I believe is due March 14th. They are all boys, by the way! Six boys in two months - wow! More updates and pictures will be posted as I receive them!

Clay and the Popsicle

This video was taken in Mom and Dad's kitchen. Clay (thanks to his Daddy) finally figured out that ice cream is delicious, even though it is cold. Enjoy!

A Snow-Filled Logan Winter

So, this was my first winter back in Logan (since being in Brazil) that there was actually a decent amount of snowfall. I think we've ended up with three feet overall, at least! So, a couple weeks ago, Mom, Cristin and I were driving home and found this "Snow Sphinx". It was pretty awesome - I hope you can kinda tell from this phone pic.

Clay = Genius

Okay, so it's official - Clay is sitting up by himself for whole minutes at a time now! He has yet to feel the urge to roll over, but loves to sit up and play with me and his toys. I pretty much figure he'll be crawling before he ever bothers rolling over (I don't think he sees any point in it!). It's a good thing he's learned to hold himself up in sitting position, though, because his chubby little thighs have nearly outgrown his Bumbo!! I'll be sure to post some pictures of him sitting as soon as Jer leaves me the camera one of these days.... :-)

More of Cute Clay

These pictures are from Christmas time - Dri took them while she was here. Just thought they were too cute not to share!

Phone Pic

I snapped this picture of Clay with my phone after he finished eating the other night. He had fallen asleep and was having a nice dream, I guess!

By the way, the ultrasound of his kidneys was all clear - no reflux from his bladder. Hooray!!
